CLIDACOR GEL is a gel with the antibiotic clindamycin. Used for acne vulgaris, especially inflammatory lesions accompanied by pustules (acne with liquid or pus).
Clindamycin is an antibacterial lincosamide that has a bacteriostatic action against gram-positive bacteria.
Clindamycin inhibits the initial phase of protein synthesis by binding to the 50 S sub units of bacterial ribosomes.

Clindamycin is a lincosamide antibiotic. It is used on the skin to stop the growth of certain bacteria that cause acne. This medicine may be used for other purposes.
Clindamycin + Tretinoin lightens post-acne dark spots by switching the damaged skin cells with newer ones. Thus, it lightens the tone of the skin and makes it brighter and stronger than before.
Topical clindamycin will not cure your acne. However, to help keep your acne under control, keep using this medicine for the full time of treatment, even if your symptoms begin to clear up after a few days.
You may have to continue using this medicine every day for months or even longer in some cases.
